Donna Kelce Teams Up with Small Business to Feature Her Famous Cookie Recipe on Mugs, Helping Pay Off Students’ Lunch Debt (Exclusive)

Football mom Donna Kelce isn't just there for her NFL sons, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, during game days; she's also lending a helping hand to elementary school children in Kansas.

Donna, 71, made a heartwarming gesture by purchasing 20 mugs with the message "It’s Mama Kelce’s world and we’re all just living in it" from Annie’s Barn, a small business in the Kansas City area, to give as Christmas gifts. The owner of Annie’s Barn, Annie Stowe, 59, then proposed a collaboration with Donna for a new mug aimed at charity.

"After Donna Venmo'd me, I sent a thank you and asked her if I could put her cookie recipe on a mug and donate $5 per mug sold to pay off elementary school lunch debt — and she said yes," says Annie.

This initiative stemmed from the famous chocolate chip cookies that Donna baked for Travis and Jason before their appearance in the 2023 Super Bowl. With Donna's approval, Annie started producing the "Mama Kelce’s Cookies" mug featuring the detailed cookie recipe and an iPhone Memoji of Donna's face on it. The mugs are sold for $18 each, with $5 from each sale going towards Annie's Out of the Red Friday initiative to eradicate lunch debt in local schools.

As Donna prepares to cheer on her son and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, Annie’s Barn has reported raising $2,000 from the recipe mugs, with an additional $2,100 raised since local news coverage. The total raised now stands at $4,100.

The "Mama Kelce’s Cookies" mug initiative is contributing towards alleviating the school meal debt crisis, which affects over 30 million students across the United States, including a significant amount in Kansas.

Despite her busy schedule, Donna has expressed interest in joining Annie to deliver the checks to the schools benefiting from the initiative.

Donna is currently in Las Vegas to support Travis in the Super Bowl alongside Jason and other relatives, possibly including Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift. The chocolate chip cookie recipe featured on the mugs holds sentimental value for Donna and her family, being a beloved favorite.

Donna gained widespread attention in February 2023 when both of her NFL sons faced off against each other in Super Bowl LVII, which the Chiefs won 38-35. Reflecting on her journey, Donna acknowledges the whirlwind her life has become but cherishes the moments shared with her family.
